STARLIGHT’S FIRST TIME AT WINDOOR
On November 17 and 18, 2021, Starlight participated for the first time in WinDoor 2021, the largest trade show for the door and window industry in the country. This event is organized by Fenestration Canada, the National Door & Windows Industry Association in Canada.
This unique event brings together numerous manufacturers of aluminum windows, curtain walls and façades. Although attendance was lower than in previous years because of COVID-19, we were able to meet representatives of companies from around Canada wishing to invest in automation in the next few years.
Our booth was hopping!
During these two very lively days, we presented products from OEMME, a manufacturer of specialized thermal break assembly machinery. The President of OEMME, Mr. Fabio Osti, and the Director of International Sales, Mr. Francesco Martini, came over from Italy especially for the event.
We also presented Emmegi products: aluminum cutting, machining and extrusion machinery. Mr. Jeff Carrier, the EMMEGI representative for Québec, was also on site. We demonstrated several types of aluminum machining centres.
A solution for the labour and materials shortage
The same point came up time and again in our conversations with visitors to our booth: the difficulty of recruiting qualified labour and obtaining materials from suppliers. This reality is forcing aluminum door and window companies to invest in machinery in order to increase the level of automation in their fabrication plants and meet the demand.
Customers asked lots of questions about which machines allow the greatest extent of automation and require the least handling by humans. Visitors were particularly interested in the OEMME thermal break machine, Emmegi Quadra and Emmegi Satellite 5 Axis.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! If you weren’t able to participate in WinDoor this year, don’t hesitate to make an appointment so we can show you our range of OEMME, EMMEGI and RAZORGAGE products.
